Communities in India
Rooted in Faith, Poured Out in Charity
The Society of Canossian Sons of Charity carries forward the mission of St. Magdalene of Canossa — to make the love of God known among the least and the last. In India, our brothers live and serve in rural villages: caring for the sick and elderly, feeding the hungry, teaching the young, and standing beside families the world tends to forget.
Five Pillars of Our Work

Home Visits & Family Care
Our brothers walk to the homes of the poorest families — carrying provisions, companionship, and the assurance that no one is forgotten.

Care for the Sick & Elderly
We sit with the homebound, the aged, and the abandoned — offering medicine, dignity, and a listening heart in their own homes.

Catechesis & Education
Hundreds of village children gather to learn, to be nourished in faith, and to discover that they are loved and capable.

Youth Oratory & Formation
Following the Canossian charism, we form young people through prayer, music, sport, and friendship — raising leaders of tomorrow.

Meals & Human Development
From community kitchens to skills training, we feed the hungry and help families build a self-reliant, hope-filled future.

Reaching the Forgotten
Every person we meet — the bed-ridden grandmother, the hungry child, the family with nothing left — matters to us. Our brothers do not wait for the poor to come; they go out to the homes, the fields, and the villages where need is greatest.
Home visits with provisions, community meals, catechesis and oratory for children, care for the sick and elderly, and formation for young people — we try to serve the whole person, body and soul.
